Fans were shocked to hear the disciplinary actions carried over by the ICC (International Cricket Council) to the Bangladeshi all-rounder Nasir Hossain. It has been declared that he had involved himself in breaching the Emirates Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Code. This activity by Nasir took place during the tournament, Abu Dhabi T10 League in 2020-2021.

Then the officials of ICC submitted the charge of offenses in September 2023, of getting iPhone 12 which was valued over $750 and not informing the Cricket Board’s Anti-Corruption Officials. Also, he was alleged for not cooperating with the investigations properly. All these indictments went on to declare the two year ban along with 6 month suspension from all forms of cricket (national, regional & international). This ban significantly affected his flow of game and missed participating in some of the crucial leagues like BPL & DPL.

As the tenure of his ban & suspension ended he returned and resumed his game on 7 April 2025.
