Barsha, a well known actress in Bangladesh suggested that she may leave the film business in order to devote more time to her family. At a recent press conference, the Nishwartha Bhalobasa performer said that she will not look to start more film projects after she finishes her current one ‘Netri: The Leader.’
Barsha described herself as a “realist,” acknowledging that an actress has a prime period on screen. She stated that “One needs to look good on screen and I believe that time has passed for me.” She also emphasized her desire to dedicate time to her growing children pointing that her “elder son is now 10 and in a few years, he will be a teenager. At that stage, I wouldn’t feel comfortable knowing their mother is still in the media.”
Ananta Jalil, her husband who is an actor and producer in his own right, jokingly refuted Barsha’s claim by stating that she is still younger than many of the actresses that still work. Yet, Barsha was resolute in her stance stating that her priority is her family above all else.
