During the early 2025, a major allegation has been imposed by the Women’s Football team over the coach Peter Butler. Let us look at the allegations deeply, 18 senior players staged a boycott from the training sessions due to mental harassment, favouritism, and inappropriate personal comments. This incident sparked a huge debate and in response, BFF (Bangladesh Football Federation) President Tabith Awal took action by arranging a seven-member committee for investigating their allegations. Though tensions piled up BFF maintained their support for Butler and he continued to train the junior players.
Further, BFF excluded the rebel players from the squad during their friendly match which took place in the UAE in February 2025. Many efforts were carried out by the BFF for the peace talks between the rebel players and coach Butler. Both the sides agreed to address their differences and move forward according to the benefit of the team.
As of now, only thirteen players have joined the training sessions under the supervision of coach Peter Butler and the remaining five players are preparing themselves to participate in Paro FC in the domestic league.
