The 97th Annual Academy Awards were held on March 3th 2025 EST in Hollywood, California to honor the best achievements in cinema. Anora ruled the night winning 5 awards including Best Picture, Best Director (Sean Baker), Best Actress (Mikey Madison), Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing.
Sean Baker was one of the biggest winners taking away a few main awards. The top acting awards went to Adrien Brody and Mikey Madison. The night started with Robert Downey Jr. who presented the Best Supporting Actor Award with full opening energy followed by an evening of many memorable winners and historic moments.
