Young Bangladeshi Actor Shahbaz Sunny Known Star from ‘Abdullah’ and ‘Mohabbat’ Passes Away

Shahbaz Sunny passed away on February 17th 2025 around 3:30 am at a private hospital in Dhaka. Cause of death is reported as a heart attack.

Shahbaz Sunny made his acting debut with the drama “Kache Ashar Pore” directed by Imraul Rafat. He pulled it off well, so he started gaining attention with more substantial roles. He also made waves for his subtle portrayal of the title character in Abdullah directed by Golam Kibria Farooki in 2018.

Besides Abdullah, Sunny has shown his versatility in various other productions like Chorer Master, Bifole Mullo Ferot, Travel Show and Mohabbat. The ability to play different sorts of characters gave him adoration from both audiences and directors which further enhanced his creative stature.

His death was confirmed by fellow actor Ziaul Faruq Apurba through his Facebook post saying, “Shahbaz Sunny left this world. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un. Please pray for him.”

The demise of Shahbaz Sunny has left a non healing bruise on the Bangladeshi entertainment industry. May his works, imbued with altruism and care, be remembered by his well-wishers.
