Previously, it was reported that Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Amna Baloch arrived in the capital city Dhaka on Wednesday ahead of this FOC (Foreign Office Consultations) and it is the first time since 2010. And she was given a warm welcome by the পরিচালক General of Ministry of Foreign Affairs South Asia, Ishrat Jahan. As per the given information, following these bilateral initiatives Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Pakistan has scheduled to pay a visit to Bangladesh later this month. The complete declaration of their visit is expected to be announced soon.
Highlights of FOC 2025
- Discussions held over strengthening their bilateral ties and shared regional values.
- They exchanged the interactions regarding the recent visits of both countries over trade delegations which emphasized the product-specific trade deputation.
- Cooperation over the various sectors, people to people contacts, exchange of culture, border issues (like forcibly displaced Rohingyas) and international forum.
- Recalled the meetings participated by both nations such as Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting held in Apia (October), D-8 Summit of Cairo and 79th UNGA held in New York.
