বাংলাদেশে ৫৮ দিনের মাছ ধরার নিষেধাজ্ঞা: তারিখ এবং নিয়ম

The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock of Bangladesh has instituted a complete fishing ban over a 58 day period in the country’s maritime waters from the 15th day of April 2025 to the 11th day of June 2025. This initiative as stated in an official order signed by HM Khalid Iftekhar is designed to increase the fish reproduction, conserve marine resources and to encourage sustainable fishing practices in Bangladesh.

The ban enacted under the ‘Marine Fisheries Rules 2023’ applies to all types of fishing vessels and to limiting fishing time during the breeding season as well. The regulation is important in protecting fish stocks and securing the supply of seafood in the future.

Authorities have cautioned of strict enforcement and penalties for violators of the restrictions. Similar bans instituted in prior years have enhanced fish stocks which bodes well for the future of the industry. 

Fishermen and stakeholders are encouraged to adhere to the regulations in order to conserve our oceans and fisheries in Ghana’s best interests as to ensure the future of the fisheries sector in earnest.
