The 24th Dhaka International Film Festival will be held from January 10th to 18th in 2026. Preparations are already underway which will showcase a plethora of films from around the world. DIFF is known for showcasing diverse global cinema also this festival is known to be a prestigious platform for Bangladesh entertainment industry.

One of the highlights of DIFF 2026 is the West Meets East Screenplay Lab from January 11th to 14th. The festival is calling for screenplay submissions of which 10 screenplays will be chosen. Throughout the festival, experts will assist the selected participants in further developing their projects.

On the final day, participants will present their projects to a jury panel which will award the top three screenplays with cash prizes this time for First place Tk 5 lakh, Second place Tk 3 lakh and Third place is Tk 2 lakh.

দ্য official DIFF website will open screenplay submissions on April 1st 2025. Candidates must submit a logline, synopsis, director’s statement, treatment and director’s profile and must complete their full screenplay at least three months before the lab begins.

With an exciting lineup of films and industry events, DIFF 2026 promises to be a major cinematic celebration and further strengthening Bangladesh’s global reputation.
