Violence erupted in Cox’s Bazar as miscreants attacked the Bangladesh Air Force base near Samiti Para killing one and injuring others. Shihab Kabir Nahid (25) suffered critical head injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead at Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
The local populace around 200 assaulted by hurling bricks at the soldiers injuring four air force personnel including one officer and three airmen.

In an effort to disperse the crowd, the air force personnel fired rounds in economy mode as reported by ISPR. The crowd made an effort to set the base on fire. The authorities are investigating the identities and motives behind the attack. ISPR also condemned the false social media rumors.
