The supply of gas will remain suspended for nine hours today in some areas of Dhaka due to repairs of a leak in the gas distribution pipelines from Amin Bazar DRS to Hazaribagh DRS at Salehpur.  The interruption will be from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Affected areas include Kholamora, Atibazar, Kakatia, Hazratour and Majherchar. Titas Gas has referred customers to be alert of the planned shut down and apologized for the trouble it may cause for a short time. Apart from the total shutdown in those areas, customers in peripheral areas could also face low pressure.

This preventive maintenance of the pipeline is intended to promote the safety and reliability of the distribution system by Titas Gas. Customers are therefore advised to adjust for supply by other means during this period. Titas Gas has assured that normal operations will resume once the maintenance period is over.
