Both the secondary and higher secondary students have demanded the Education Board to postpone the SSC exams by underpinning the following reasons,
- Severe cold wave and climatic unrest
- Political Perplexity & Strikes
- Due to closures & disruptions – Syllabus Incompletion
- Exam Schedule Errors
“All our preparations have already been completed. The demands raised by some students at this time are not logical. If they were logical, we would definitely have considered them” – Khandokar Ehsanul Kabir, President, Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee.
After examining the student’s recommendation of postponing the exam for one-month, the Bangladesh Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education declared their statement. They strongly opposed their demand of postponing the exams and it will take place as per the schedule (i.e. the exam will commence from 10 April 2025). They claim that their demands look so unreasonable.
“According to the information we have, almost all students are in favor of taking the exam. Some people in the name of students are conspiring to postpone the exam through Facebook. The exam controller requested all the candidates and their parents to pay attention to these rumours and prepare exam” – Professor SM Kamal Uddin Haider, Coordinator of the Inter-Education Board Examination Controller & Dhaka Education Board’s Examination Controller
