Today marks the International Day of Happiness, a day set aside around the world to celebrate and promote happiness, positivity and well being. March 20th of each year was recognized by the United Nations as a reminder that happiness is an important human goal. The UN established the day in 2013 to promote a more equitable and balanced world rooted in happiness and well-being alongside the importance of economic progress.

Why Do We Celebrate It?

The International Day of Happiness was created to emphasize the importance of happiness in the lives and for relationships of people and societies. The UN acknowledges that happiness is not only a personal endeavor but is among the most important variables that affect development of the world.
