When will Govt Employees in Bangladesh Receive March Salary and Eid Bonus?

The Ministry of Finance declared that government employees in Bangladesh, including civil servants in the government semi-government, autonomous bodies and armed forces will be given their March salary and Eid-ul-Fitr bonus on March 23, 2025. This follows the government’s policy of making salaries and bonuses payments punctually, especially during the festival season.

Aside from the active government employees salaries and bonuses, pensioners will also be paid their retirement allowance for March on the same date March 23. This is to provide financial support for both active and retired government workers prior to the approaching Eid festivities.

The directive was issued in accordance with the Bangladesh Treasury Rules particularly Subsidiary Rule (S.R.) 113 (2), under which the Ministry of Finance is authorized to make such directives about the timely release of government payments.

The news comes as a relief for all government employees, as it guarantees that they will receive their rightful financial rewards well in advance for the Eid festival. The Eid bonus has traditionally been viewed as an important financial reward for government employees and the release in time facilitates a happier celebration for them and their families.
