Hussen mentioned Canada’s commitment in strengthening ties with Bangladesh through support for healthcare, women’s empowerment and climate action. “During my recent visit to Bangladesh, I witnessed Canada’s support in action through projects that provide vital humanitarian aid and essential healthcare for new mothers,” he stated.
The funding will support gender equality along with reproductive health rights and access to education and workforce training in accordance with Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy. Climate initiatives will incorporate nature based solutions, preparedness for disasters and innovative green solutions.
