Mosharraf Karim, one of the most versatile actors in Bangladesh is set to make his presence felt on the big screen with two of his long-awaited films ‘Chokkor 302’ and ‘Bildakini’ which are both set to release on Eid-ul-Fitr and Pahela Baishakh respectively.
Both are past government funded projects that have long been completed. Yet the uncertainty surrounding their releases remained until now.
‘Chokkor 302’ Directed by Sharaf Ahmed Jibon, this heart-pounding murder drama revolves around an investigator played by Mosharraf Karim with his wife played by actress Rikita Nandini Shimu. The other films joining in during Eid competing in the major category are Shakib Khan’s Borbaad, Siams Ahmed’s Jongli and Afran Nisho’s Daagi.
The official announcement for the release is expected imminently with promotions set to commence on the 10th of Ramadan. Mosharraf Karim in ‘Bildakini’ will return to cinemas just after Eid under the direction of Fazlul Kabir Tuhin. It releases on ‘Pahela Baishakh’ and is based on the novel of Nuruddin Jahangir speaking about feminine empowerment and motherhood. This film was supposed to hit theaters on 24th and got postponed.
Karim plays Manik Majhi with Parno Mittra from West Bengal. With both films riding into the festive season, he is sure to charm the audience once again.
