3-Day Women Entrepreneurs Fair in Dhaka

The three-day Women Entrepreneurs Fair will begin on Thursday at the Gulshan Shooting Club in Dhaka under the organization of the Women Entrepreneurs Association of Bangladesh (WEAB). The event wants to honor women’s achievements, empower women entrepreneurs and commemorate International Women’s Day.

The exhibition will also showcase a diverse mix of goods including handicrafts, national clothes, accessories and original pieces of artwork produced by female business owners. Of special significance is the commemorative ‘July Corner’ showcasing recognition for those women who played important roles during the July Uprising.

Apart from product exhibitions, the fair also seeks to promote inclusiveness by hosting a drawing competition among 300 school children from Dhaka schools. This promotes participation from both children and women.

WEAB President Nasreen Awal Mintu stressed that the event is not just for economic empowerment but also as a celebration of women’s resilience and entrepreneurship. The fair, which is open every day from 10 am to 8 pm, is set to open new doors for women to develop as entrepreneurs and make valuable contributions to society.
