BNP Vice-chairman and former minister Abdullah Al Noman passed away early Tuesday at the age of 75. Noman suffered a sudden illness at his residence in Dhanmondi, Dhaka and was taken to Square Hospital where he was announced dead at around 6:00 am on 25th February.

He was a key party figure and was going to be the chief speaker at the rally in Chattogram scheduled for today. The program was canceled as a result of his sudden death. BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir expressed deep sorrow for his passing.
An experienced politician, Abdullah Al Noman had made his mark in the political arena of Bangladesh. Having been minister in the BNP-led government’s earlier, he was also known for his leadership in Chattogram politics.
Decisions about the burial and funeral shall be made by the BNP. His passing has indeed constituted a huge loss for the party with leaders and followers mourning his absence toward national politics.
