Bengal’s No.1 Serial Parineeta Brings the Mahakumbh Experience to TV!

After 144 years, the grand Mahakumbh is being held once again drawing millions of devotees to the Triveni Sangam for a holy dip in India. But has this sacred event now found its way into Bengali television as well? The popular Bengali serial “Parineeta” is set to feature Mahakumbh in its storyline.

However, the team isn’t actually traveling to Uttar Pradesh for the shoot. Instead, an elaborate Mahakumbh-themed set has been built where production is in full swing. Bengali serials often reflect social themes making them more relatable to audiences and this will be no exception.

Meanwhile, Parineeta continues to dominate the TRP charts securing the top position with 7.9 points. The show has been the Bengal Topper for several consecutive weeks. Recently, Parineeta celebrated its 100th episode with the entire Zee Bangla team present for a grand celebration.

Actor Riaz Laskar shared glimpses of the celebration on social media announcing, “Friends, today our show Parineeta has completed 100 episodes!” Actress Ishani Chatterjee excitedly added, “100 episodes down and now we aim for 1000! Miles to go!” Notably, this is Ishani’s debut television serial making the milestone even more special.
